Role Overview
The Social Media Engagement Associate will play a key role in helping our project reach, educate, and inform audiences who are directly affected by — or deeply invested in — a major national issue. You will assist in shaping the digital voice of the initiative and strengthening our communication strategy through consistent, thoughtful, and engaging content.
Your responsibilities will revolve around leveraging your existing understanding of social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), YouTube, and emerging channels. You will help us deliver content that resonates with target markets, encourages participation, and builds awareness across diverse communities.
This is a remote, 1099 contractor role offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute at your own pace, while still making a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities
As part of our activism-focused digital team, your responsibilities may include:
Content Engagement & Community Interaction
- Assisting in the implementation of social media campaigns across multiple platforms.

Content Creation & Curation
- Creating basic social content such as posts, captions, polls, reels ideas, and short-form messages.

Campaign Support & Messaging
- Helping maintain consistent messaging across various channels.

Monitoring Trends
- Staying updated on social media trends, platform changes, and engagement strategies.
