Responsibilities of a Assistant Manager
- The Staff Accountant supports RSF Social Finance’s mission-driven work by maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to process improvements across the organization
- Reporting to the Head of Finance and Accounting, this role is responsible for core accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reporting, vendor onboarding, and employee expense oversight
- This position also plays an active role in modernizing RSF’s finance operations through system integrations, data reconciliation, and automation initiatives
- It offers exposure to multiple accounting and lending platforms, opportunities for cross-departmental collaboration, and the chance to contribute to audit readiness, budgeting, and reporting
- General Accounting & Reporting
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger entries, including A/P, A/R, payroll allocations, and intercompany transactions
- Reconcile source systems (e.g., Nortridge, Iphi, Sageworks) with general ledger accounts to ensure accurate accounting and reporting integrity
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, cost allocations, expense accruals, and internal reporting
- Support prepare department-level budget vs. actual reports and collaborate with department heads to analyze key variances
- Assist in responding to inquiries from auditors, regulatory bodies, and tax agencies
- Maintain fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and depreciation/amortization schedules
- Vendor & Expense Management
- Manage vendor onboarding and maintenance, including W-9 collection, banking information, and internal approvals
- Oversee employee expense reimbursements, ensuring compliance with internal policies and timely processing
- Support timely and accurate accounts payable processing and resolution of vendor inquiries
