A leading technology organization in the automotive industry is currently seeking an experienced UX Content Writer to join its growing Product Team. Position Overview
The UX Content Writer will work closely with product designers, UX researchers, and cross-functional stakeholders to craft clear, engaging, and effective content across digital interfaces. This role focuses on creating user-centered copy that guides, informs, and enhances the overall user experience across web and mobile platforms.
The position is part-time (2 days per week) with flexible scheduling, though candidates must be available to collaborate during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours. The engagement is initially set for three months, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and project needs.
Key Responsibilities
As a UX Content Writer, you will play a critical role in shaping the voice and clarity of digital experiences. Your responsibilities will include:
- Writing and editing UX content such as microcopy, error messages, tooltips, call-to-action text, and instructional messaging
- Partnering closely with product designers to ensure content aligns seamlessly with design and user flows
- Responding to incoming requests for UX copy and content updates from product teams
- Maintaining and evolving the organization’s content style guide, tone, and voice
- Collaborating with marketing and UX teams to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints
- Reviewing and refining AI-generated content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to brand standards
- Helping improve internal processes for content creation and governance
- Supporting usability, accessibility, and content clarity across platforms
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented writer with a strong background in UX writing and content strategy. You should be comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative environments and confident in translating complex ideas into simple, user-friendly language.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in UX writing, content design, or digital copywriting
- Proven portfolio showcasing UX-focused content and product writing
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
- Experience working with content style guides and design systems
