Web Designer—Remote, No Experience, £26K–£32K/Year

Are you creative, detail-oriented, and eager to launch your career in web design—even if you have no formal experience? This exciting entry-level opportunity offers you the chance to step into the digital design world with minimal prior experience, while working mostly from the comfort of your home. With a competitive salary of £26,000–£32,000 per year and nearly full remote flexibility, this is your chance to grow professionally while enjoying work-life balance.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Web Designer who is enthusiastic about creating visually stunning and user-friendly websites. This is a 95% remote position, meaning you’ll have the flexibility to work from home while occasionally collaborating in person for team meetings, onboarding, or client sessions.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and improving website layouts, interfaces, and user experiences for various clients or in-house projects. From brainstorming concepts to launching final products, you’ll be a key player in transforming creative ideas into digital reality.
This position is ideal for recent graduates, self-taught designers, career changers, or anyone looking to get their foot in the door in the fast-growing world of web design.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing responsive and user-friendly websites using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Collaborate with developers, marketers, and project managers to align design with brand identity and technical requirements.
- Help create visual content, wireframes, and page mockups for websites and landing pages.
- Conduct user research and test designs to improve user experience and engagement.
- Apply UX/UI principles to ensure usability across various devices and screen sizes.
- Participate in website audits and contribute to ongoing improvements in design performance.
- Receive feedback from senior designers and apply revisions to meet project standards.
- Stay updated with web design trends and tools to continuously improve your skills.
What We’re Looking For
We’re more interested in your potential, creativity, and attitude than in a long list of credentials. If you’re passionate about digital design, eager to learn, and have a basic understanding of web design tools, we encourage you to apply—even if you’ve never worked in a design role before.
Preferred Qualities:
- A strong creative mindset and an eye for aesthetics.
- Basic knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- An understanding of layout principles, color theory, and typography.
- Interest in UX/UI design and how websites influence user behavior.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to take feedback and learn from constructive critique.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow brand guidelines.
- A basic portfolio or collection of practice designs is a plus (but not required).
Training & Development
No experience? No problem.
We provide on-the-job training, mentorship, and access to design resources to help you succeed. During your first few weeks, you’ll learn everything you need—from basic UX principles to hands-on design practices. We’ll pair you with experienced team members who will guide your development and help you build a professional portfolio.
By the end of your first year, you’ll have gained enough practical knowledge and project experience to work independently or move into more specialized roles such as UI/UX Designer, Front-End Designer, or Creative Lead.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £26,000–£32,000 per year, based on experience and performance.
- Work environment: 95% remote (occasional in-person meetups or events).
- Schedule: Flexible hours with core collaboration times.
- Training: Structured onboarding and mentorship program.
- Growth opportunities: Potential to transition into senior design roles.
- Tools provided: Access to premium design software and collaboration platforms.
- Team culture: Creative, supportive, and collaborative.
