Virtual Assistant (Part-Time) – Home Services Industry Specialist – $15–$30/hour

We are currently seeking a highly responsive and proactive Virtual Assistant to support our home services business by managing communications with homeowner leads. This role involves a combination of outbound calling, texting, and emailing to ensure every lead receives timely and professional follow-up. The ultimate goal is to book face-to-face appointments for our contractor clients. To succeed in this role, you must have prior experience in the home services industry, such as hardscaping, backyard makeovers, or pool installations, and possess strong communication skills to interact with homeowners—many of whom may feel uncertain or anxious about taking the next step in their projects.

This is a remote, part-time opportunity that offers flexible hours and competitive hourly pay ranging from $15 to $30, depending on experience and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Virtual Assistant, your core responsibility will be managing homeowner leads with speed, professionalism, and care. Each day, you’ll be expected to:

  • Make 40+ outbound calls to new homeowner leads as they arrive. These calls are designed to qualify their level of interest in specific home improvement projects, gather essential information, and ultimately schedule in-person estimates with our contractor clients.
  • Virtual Assistant Manage and respond to 50+ new leads daily, ensuring each contact receives a prompt and appropriate follow-up. Your responsiveness and ability to keep leads engaged will directly impact your success in this role.
  • Virtual Assistant Use the Leadsimple CRM system to manage all communication and track the status of each lead. This tool also facilitates outbound calls and uses state-specific phone numbers to match the homeowner’s location.
  • Respond to text messages and emails manually when needed. Although an automated system sends pre-set messages, your personalized communication—particularly your calls—will be critical in creating trust and booking appointments.
  • Log all interactions and lead details accurately within the CRM, so our team can track progress and follow up as needed.
  • Act quickly and proactively if any technical or procedural issues arise. Rather than assuming things are working as expected, you are encouraged to report potential issues immediately.
  • Reference information in Google Sheets to understand project requirements or homeowner notes. No data entry is required, but you must be able to comprehend and act upon the information provided.

What We’re Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Virtual Assistant Home services industry experience is required. You should be familiar with the types of concerns homeowners may have when undertaking large home projects and know how to guide them through the early stages of engagement. Whether it’s a patio renovation, a pool installation, or a complete backyard transformation, you must be able to speak knowledgeably and with empathy.
  • Strong verbal communication skills. You should be confident and professional over the phone, capable of building trust with homeowners and keeping them engaged throughout the conversation.
  • Clear and professional written communication. This is important for follow-up texts and emails, as well as for internal reporting.
  • High call volume capability. You should be able to comfortably handle 50 or more calls per day, including on weekends. Availability across 6–7 days per week is strongly preferred.
  • Fast response time. Leads need to be contacted shortly after expressing interest. You must be available on both phone and computer to maintain a high “speed to lead” rate.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with CRM tools. You will be using Leadsimple, which requires the use of both its desktop and mobile applications. A basic understanding of CRM functionality and lead tracking is expected.
  • Proactive mindset. You must be someone who takes initiative and doesn’t wait for others to identify problems. If you notice something isn’t working, speak up and collaborate with the team to find a solution.
  • Comfort with Google Sheets. While you won’t be entering data, you should be able to read and understand homeowner details and project information listed in these sheets.

Additional Requirements:

This is a remote position, so a stable internet connection and a quiet environment for making calls is essential. While the job offers flexibility, your availability for immediate follow-up is crucial. Leads come in throughout the day and quick engagement is what sets us apart from competitors.

Schedule:

  • Virtual Assistant Monday to Friday availability is required.
  • Weekend availability is also necessary, as leads can come in at any time.
  • Flexible scheduling is available, but speed in responding to new leads is non-negotiable.

Compensation:

  • $15.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience, performance, and communication skills.
  • Expected workload: 10 to 30 hours per week.
  • Performance-based incentives and bonuses may be available based on appointment-setting success.
