Social Media Marketing Manager
We are looking for a social media marketing manager who will build brand awareness, strengthening brand reputation, and promoting engagement and demand among target audiences through Avalara’s corporate social media profiles.
An ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively with stakeholders across teams, and brings a variety of hands-on social media marketing experience.
You will report to the Senior Manager, Community Strategy
We are open to #LI-RemoteResponsibilities:
- Develop strategic and innovative plans for how to organically grow followers, engagement, and traffic on social media.
- Oversee day-to-day management of branded accounts on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube, including posting, monitoring conversations, engaging with followers, and measuring performance.
- Understand audience personas and how to tailor content and campaigns to capture their attention.
- Ensure brand consistency in copy through tone, voice and terminology.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of social content calendars that map to organizational priorities and team objectives.
- Partner with the brand video team to upload and optimize videos for organic performance on YouTube
- Measure progress through in-platform analytics and third-party tools including Hootsuite and Brandwatch.
- Collaborate with other marketing and sales teams to support their campaigns and initiatives, helping to generate awareness and demand for Avalara’s software solutions
- Partner with HR and recruiting to reinforce Avalara’s unique culture and why the company is a great place to work
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies, trends and best practices in social media
Qualifications:
- You will have knowledge of the unique capabilities of multiple social platforms (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) and how to use them from an organic perspective
- You can strategically think about how to tailor and optimize content for performance by channel
- You can be creative and think on your feet in order to take advantage of real-time conversations and trends,
- You can monitor activity, measuring and reporting performance toward established KPIs, and optimizing strategies for success.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 or more years of marketing experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, communication or related field
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Create creative content in multiple formats including text, image and video
- Use multi-channel social media monitoring and scheduling tools like Hootsuite required
- Experience with social media advertising platforms, particularly Facebook Ads Manager
You May Also Have:
- Experience with photo and graphics editing tools like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Experience with video editing tools like Adobe Premiere
- Certification in Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics or similar tool
- Experience in SaaS technology business
