Head of Social Media Marketing—UK (Lead Role)

Key Responsibilities of Social Media Marketing
1. Strategy Development and Execution
- Develop and lead a comprehensive, data-driven global social media strategy to drive awareness, engagement, traffic, and customer acquisition.
- Align the social strategy with wider marketing, branding, and business goals.
- Identify opportunities for new platform adoption, content types, and innovative social approaches.
2. Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Manage, mentor, and grow a talented team of social media managers, community specialists, and content producers.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and creative team culture.
- Provide clear guidance, feedback, and support to ensure the successful execution of campaigns and day-to-day social activities.
3. Content and Campaign Oversight
- Oversee the planning, production, and distribution of high-quality social media content and storytelling assets.

- Work cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, PR, Product Marketing, and Customer Support to ensure message consistency and integration.
4. Community Engagement and Reputation Management
- Lead the development of community engagement strategies to build strong, authentic relationships with followers and customers.
- Oversee real-time engagement, including responses to mentions, comments, and messages.
- Develop protocols for proactive and reactive communications during high-impact events or potential crises.
5. Data and Performance Analysis
- Measure performance across channels using analytics tools and dashboards.
- Monitor KPIs including reach, engagement, share of voice, sentiment, conversions, and ROI.
- Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
6. Trend Awareness and Innovation
- Keep pace with industry trends, competitor activity, and platform updates.
- Identify and test emerging formats, tools, and features to maintain a competitive edge.
- Bring innovative and culturally relevant ideas to the table that elevate brand presence and customer connection.
Requirements and Qualifications of Social Media Marketing
Professional Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in social media marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or head-of-role capacity.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing large-scale social campaigns across multiple platforms.
- Experience in B2B, B2C, retail, or technology sectors is highly desirable.
Leadership and Communication
- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams across disciplines.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal communication skills.
- Confident presenting strategies, performance data, and campaign concepts to senior leadership.
Strategic and Analytical Mindset
- Expertise in using analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Google Analytics, and platform-specific dashboards.
- Ability to interpret data and use it to drive performance-based decisions.
- Understanding of paid social, influencer marketing, and integrated digital campaigns.

- A creative thinker with a strong sense of storytelling, design, and content creation.
- Ability to work with designers and video producers to bring compelling content to life.
