Full job description || SEO Specialist
The role of SEO Consultant will involve leading and driving SEO strategies for a range of clients across various industries. Collaborating with like-minded, passionate individuals, you’ll help to deliver success and lead by example for other members of the SEO team.Whether you’re coming from an agency background, or have in-house experience, we’d love to hear from you. Ultimately, you’ll know what it takes to produce effective strategies that get results – we’d love to see how that fits with our ethos and methodologies.
However, we are looking for someone with at least 2 years of hands on SEO specific experience – no all round marketers who have dabbled in SEO, nor SEO copywriters. We need technically minded, strategic, SEO Specialist all rounders.
You will be required to work in a team to solve problems and think outside the box to reach client goals. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a team environment and can give / take feedback to not only better themselves but also those around them.
You love learning, sharing that information with others, hearing what they have to say and taking on new opinions in a constructive, safe environment – one that’s entirely built around personal growth, skill enhancement, and fostering/sharing knowledge for both yourself and those around you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating and shaping effective SEO strategies that exceed the expectations of the client: meeting their business needs, KPIs and goals set out at the early stages of the contract. - Delivering all manner of deliverables such as technical audits, log file analysis, page speed analysis, keyword research and on-page recommendations etc.
- More importantly, you’ll not only be able to carry out these tasks and deliver them on time to clients: you are able to communicate what they mean, prioritise the importance of each tactic based on the client’s needs/capabilities in a way that they not only understand, but that drives them to make the changes required.
- Regularly attending and holding meetings with clients, leading with confidence and ease to nurture relationships.
- Reviewing strategies, analysing data, providing actionable reports and audits.
- Contributing ideas and solutions to the SEO Specialist department: any questions or issues any individual faces, we face together.
- Communicating to other team members and clients who aren’t technically focused in a way that they understand: this requires in depth understanding on your part and excellent communication skills
- An understanding of site analytics tools, such as Google Analytics / Omniture site catalyst, Google Search Console etc.
What we’re looking for:
- 2-3 years experience minimum in a purely SEO Specialist based role.
- Experience in developing and executing SEO strategies for clients.Solid understanding of..
- Technical SEO, its importance and the major components that affect site performance
- On page SEO & content (EEAT): Outside of the fundamentals such as how content ties in to strategy & algorithm updates.
- Off site SEO and the role links play in a campaign.
- How these all relate to one another and how to communicate about them to different audiences (stakeholder, marketing manager, SEO consultant etc).
- Knowledge or experience of working with CMS systems
- Strong organisational and presentation skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- The ability to give and receive feedback in a constructive, kind manner
- A keen and interested disposition & attitude
