The Role Senior Paid Social Manager

As a Senior Paid Social Manager, you will take the lead on developing and executing paid social strategies across multiple platforms including Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, LinkedIn, and other emerging channels. You will serve as the strategic lead for client accounts, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business results.

This role combines performance marketing expertise with team leadership and client relationship management. You’ll be responsible for managing large budgets, optimizing campaigns based on performance data, and ensuring the highest quality of work is delivered at all times.


Key Responsibilities of Senior Paid Social Manager

  • Develop and execute paid social strategies tailored to client goals including brand awareness, lead generation, and online sales.
  • Manage campaign planning, set-up, execution, and optimization across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Snapchat.
  • Analyze campaign performance using Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and other tools to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver performance reports to clients with clear insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for your clients, leading meetings and communicating campaign results with clarity and confidence.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to brief in engaging ad assets, support A/B testing, and ensure content aligns with best practices.
  • Mentor junior members of the paid media team, review campaign builds, and provide guidance to support their growth and development.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to keep your strategies cutting-edge and effective.

Requirements in Senior Paid Social Manager

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing paid social campaigns across multiple platforms including Meta.
  • Demonstrated success managing performance-focused campaigns and working with monthly budgets from £5,000 to £100,000+.
  • Strong understanding of advertising metrics (ROAS, CPA, CTR, CPM, etc.) and experience working in data-led environments.
  • Proficiency in campaign tracking, pixel implementation, audience segmentation, and retargeting strategies.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills, with experience presenting campaign insights and handling client feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and campaign optimization.
  • A passion for digital marketing, paid media innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Experience with eCommerce, lead generation, or direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands is a strong advantage.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with tools such as Google Tag Manager, GA4, or third-party attribution tools like Triple Whale or Northbeam.
  • Understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO) and landing page performance strategies.
  • Experience creating or managing user-generated content (UGC) campaigns in a paid social context.
  • Previous agency-side experience working across multiple accounts.
