We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to join our team and take ownership of the UK territory, focusing on B2B sales of food ingredients to manufacturers, distributors, and processors across the food and beverage industry. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to increase revenue within the UK food ingredients market
  • Identify and target new clients in key sectors: bakery, dairy, beverages, sauces, snacks, meat alternatives, and more
  • Manage and grow existing customer relationships through regular contact, support, and account planning
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms to achieve profitability goals
  • Work closely with product development, technical, and supply chain teams to ensure client needs are met
  • Attend industry trade shows, exhibitions, and client visits to build market presence
  • Monitor market trends, customer activity, and competitor landscape to identify opportunities and risks
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and pipeline reports for senior management
  • Ensure CRM systems and sales reports are kept up to date with all relevant customer interactions

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience in a sales or business development role within the food ingredients or food manufacturing industry
  • Solid knowledge of food ingredients, their applications, and their role in product development
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward
  • Ability to travel regularly across the UK to meet with clients and attend industry events
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Business, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
