Location: The Mall, Luton Temporary Contract until 30th August 2024, with potential for extension Full Time Position: 39 hours per week We are looking for a Retail Store Manager to join The Lewis Foundation Outlet Store. This is an exciting new project for The Lewis Foundation, which will raise awareness and funds to help provide our free gift packs and support to adult cancer patients in hospital. Whilst, we are a charity, this is not a traditional charity shop. We only sell brand new branded items, which are end of line, excess and sample stock donated by business, with all profits from every purchase is donated to our charity. You will be acting as an Ambassador for The Lewis Foundation by leading our outlet store, alongside staff and volunteers. The store will be a place where the customers not only get to shop but also a way for customers to understand the work that The Lewis Foundation does. You will be acting as an Ambassador for The Lewis Foundation by leading our outlet store, alongside staff and volunteers. The store will be a place where the customers not only get to shop but also a way for customers to understand the work that The Lewis Foundation does. We need someone who is experienced and able to hit the ground running straight away as the store is due to open the beginning of May 2024. Must be confident that they could get up to speed once appointed to be able to be a part of a successful store opening. The person we are looking for: The ideal candidate will have an ability to manage the daily operations of the retail store and complete tasks related to inventory tracking, marketing and customer service. They should be a confident salesperson and be able to share their best practices in order to onboard new employees. This candidate should also possess strong leadership skills and be able to assign duties to relevant employees in order to maintain the function of the store. Responsibilities include: • Manage daily operations of business and ensure sales goals are met • Leading by example and providing excellent customer service. • Direct employees and volunteers in daily operations such as serving customers, inventory taking, reconciling cash and managing in store marketing • Assigns duties to relevant employees • Creating relationships with the local community and The Lewis Foundation team members • Conduct hiring and onboarding of new employees • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations • Track and manage inventory at store • Organising and running creative fundraising events for your store to raise funds and awareness for The Lewis Foundation Experience • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of retail and retail management experience • Demonstrated ability to train employees and be an effective salesperson • Strong customer service, management and manager communication skills What skills are you looking for? • Experience of managing and inspiring a manager diverse team of people • Comfort working within targets and motivating others to achieve those targets. •manager The ability to multi-task in a lively environment. • Working knowledge of what makes great customer service. • manager Commercial awareness. • Adaptability in changing situations, including being able to work effectively independently. • An awareness of the price, value and worth of items.
