What You’ll Do
As a Video Editor at DREAMLABS, you’ll play a critical role in creating high-impact, short-form video ads tailored for paid social platforms like Meta and TikTok. You’ll collaborate with a tight-knit creative and strategy team to concept, produce, and optimize content that fuels the growth of some of the most exciting eCommerce brands out there.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Edit Ads That Sell: Take raw footage and assemble it into polished, high-converting ads optimized for social. Add motion graphics, text overlays, transitions, and music that align with current platform trends and performance standards.
- Creative Development: Partner with our copywriters and strategists to brainstorm ad angles, write attention-grabbing hooks, and storyboard concepts that break through the noise.
- Content Shoots: Participate in or lead content shoots when needed—including UGC, lifestyle, and product shoots. Experience with smartphones (especially iPhones) is a major plus.
- Post-Production Polish: Handle all aspects of post-production including color grading, sound design, resizing, and exporting. Ensure all deliverables meet technical requirements for each platform.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with strategists, designers, and performance marketers to bring ideas to life. Be part of the creative engine that drives results for our clients.
- Project & File Management: Maintain a clean and efficient workflow by organizing footage libraries, managing project files, and keeping edit logs updated.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Bring a pulse on what’s working in the market. Spot viral trends, experiment with new formats, and continuously iterate based on ad performance and platform changes.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who has both the technical chops and the creative mindset to create content that drives action. If you live at the intersection of editing, performance marketing, and storytelling, you’ll fit right in.
Must-Have Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
- A strong portfolio showcasing short-form content, especially high-performing paid social ads
- Ability to conceptualize creative, write basic ad copy, and pitch ideas clearly
- Experience with camera work (DSLR or iPhone), basic lighting setups, and sound capture
- An eye for pacing, structure, and storytelling that aligns with platform-specific performance
- Highly organized, efficient, and comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines
- A collaborative spirit and strong communication skills
- A deep interest in consumer psychology, marketing, and what makes people convert
