This is a remote position, and candidates must reside within the United States.
Your Day-to-Day:
As the Manager, Revenue Management Portfolio, you will oversee a portfolio of company-managed (CMH) or franchised hotels, ensuring they fully leverage available tools and systems to maximize revenue. You will collaborate with hotel teams to develop and implement revenue/yield strategies that focus on pricing, demand analysis, market segmentation, and selling tactics. Your expertise will drive improvements in revenue generation, increase the Revenue Growth Index (RGI), and help achieve strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Strategy Development: Work with hotel sales and management teams to create and execute pricing, yield, and selling strategies. Analyze the impact on occupancy, average rates, and room profits while identifying opportunities to stimulate additional revenue.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed on local market dynamics, demand generators, and competitor strategies. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize performance and enhance efficiency.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports on revenue performance. Utilize forecasting techniques to predict pricing and revenue trends based on demand and market conditions.
- Annual Budgets & Strategic Planning: Assist in developing yearly budgets and contributing to Strategic Business Sales Plans for company-managed hotels.
- Liaison for Stakeholders: Serve as the primary revenue strategy contact for ownership groups, ensuring alignment with topline goals and strategies.
- Meeting Facilitation: Lead revenue strategy meetings to align stakeholders on plans and initiatives.
- Auditing & Best Practices: Review and audit hotel strategies to ensure compliance with revenue management standards. Implement and share best practices to optimize revenue potential.
- System Utilization: Maximize revenue through effective use of company systems, including Concerto, Global Distribution System (GDS) interfaces, e-commerce tools, and property management systems.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to hotel management teams to strengthen their revenue management capabilities.
- Collaboration: Partner with various teams across the organization, including Regional VPs, Digital and Loyalty teams, Pricing, and Franchise Support, to drive initiatives and support overall business goals.
- Independent Work: Demonstrate strong time management and the ability to work independently while managing a portfolio of hotels.
What We’re Looking For:
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in hotel operations, revenue management, or consulting, with at least 3 years of experience working with central reservations systems and revenue management tools like Concerto.
- Proven expertise in pricing concepts, yield optimization, and selling strategies in the hospitality industry.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to present strategies and negotiate with stakeholders effectively.
- Knowledge of industry trends and the ability to use data to drive revenue growth.
- Proficiency in hotel pricing concepts, market segmentation, and revenue management optimization.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tools like Tableau.
