Position: Remote Chat Moderator
Location: Work from Home (USA)
Salary: $12.50 per hour
Job Type: Part-time, Flexible Hours
Pay Cycle: Weekly (Monday – Sunday)
What You’ll Do as Remote Chat Moderator
As a Chat Moderator, you will be responsible for ensuring that our Discord community remains respectful, engaging, and compliant with our rules. Your key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring Chat Activity – Keep an eye on discussions and ensure a safe and positive environment.
- Deleting Rule-Violating Messages – Remove inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content.
- Banning Repeat Offenders – Take action against users who repeatedly violate community guidelines.
- Muting Disruptive Users – Temporarily restrict users who break the rules.
- Investigating User Reports – Address concerns and enforce policies effectively.
- Enforcing Community Standards – Uphold a welcoming space for all members.
What We’re Looking For
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong understanding of Discord moderation tools and community management.
- Ability to remain calm and professional while handling difficult situations.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in moderating online communities (Discord, Reddit, Facebook Groups, etc.).
- Familiarity with community management tools and bot moderation.
- Knowledge of online safety and cyber etiquette.
- Strong conflict-resolution skills.
