Job Title: Junior Quality Control Chemist
Job Summary:
The Junior Quality Control Chemist is a key contributor in ensuring the quality and safety of products across industries such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food and beverages, and manufacturing. This position involves performing chemical analyses and tests on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods to verify compliance with established quality standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Chemical Analysis and Testing:
- Perform routine chemical analyses and testing on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods.
- Utilize standard laboratory techniques and equipment to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results.
- Use of Analytical Instruments:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of samples using advanced analytical instruments, including:
- High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
- Gas Chromatography (GC)
- UV-Vis Spectrophotometer
- Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)
- Titration apparatus
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of samples using advanced analytical instruments, including:
- Data Recording and Analysis:
- Accurately record and analyze test results to ensure precision and reliability in reporting.
- Maintain detailed and organized documentation for all analyses and tests conducted.
- Deviation Investigations:
- Identify and investigate any deviations or out-of-specification results.
- Report findings promptly to the supervisor and assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions.
- Compliance with Standards and Protocols:
- Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good laboratory practices (GLP).
- Ensure compliance with industry quality standards, safety regulations, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and quality assurance, to resolve quality-related issues.
- Participate in method development and validation activities to improve testing procedures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Support audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field is required.
- A master’s degree in a relevant discipline is preferred for certain positions.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in analytical techniques and instrumentation commonly used in quality control, such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectrophotometry, FTIR, and wet chemistry techniques.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines and quality standards, including FDA regulations, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), ISO standards, or other relevant industry standards.

- Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
