Position Title: Part-Time Remote Personal Assistant

About the Role

We are currently seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized Part-Time Remote Personal Assistant to help manage a variety of tasks across different domains. This is a dynamic and flexible role, ideal for someone who enjoys research, excels at organization, and is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. The ideal candidate is resourceful, self-motivated, professional, and able to work independently without close supervision.

As a virtual Assistant, your day-to-day tasks will involve both personal and professional support duties, such as conducting research, managing appointments, and coordinating with local service providers. Your contributions will help create more efficient daily routines and reduce the time spent on logistical or administrative work, allowing for smoother day-to-day operations.


Key Responsibilities

1. Research for Various Projects
You will be expected to conduct in-depth, accurate, and efficient research for miscellaneous projects that may span a wide range of topics. This may include:

  • Gathering data on specific products or services
  • Summarizing information in an organized format
  • Comparing vendors, providers, or services based on price, reviews, and other criteria
  • Researching travel destinations, logistics, and costs
  • Exploring potential business tools, platforms, or technology solutions

Strong analytical skills and the ability to present findings clearly and concisely are essential.

2. Finding Local Service Providers
A large portion of your work will involve sourcing and coordinating with local workers and service professionals. This includes:

  • Identifying reliable and well-reviewed handymen, electricians, plumbers, movers, cleaners, etc.
  • Comparing availability, pricing, and customer feedback
  • Contacting vendors to ask relevant questions or verify information
  • Making recommendations based on research and personal preferences
  • Scheduling appointments and ensuring follow-through

Experience with Yelp, Google Reviews, TaskRabbit, Thumbtack, and similar platforms is a plus.

3. Appointment Scheduling
You will assist in organizing calendars and managing appointments for various personal or logistical matters. Tasks may include:

  • Booking and confirming appointments with doctors, service professionals, or other vendors
  • Coordinating availability across multiple schedules
  • Sending reminders and follow-ups
  • Updating shared calendars
  • Ensuring timely communication before and after appointments

Strong time management and attention to detail are vital.

4. Medically Related Research
From time to time, you’ll be asked to look into health- and wellness-related topics. This could involve:

  • Researching symptoms, conditions, or treatments (using reputable, evidence-based sources)
  • Compiling summaries of findings and presenting them in clear, non-technical language
  • Exploring local providers for medical, dental, or therapeutic care
  • Reviewing insurance networks or care options
  • Setting up consultations or appointments with healthcare providers

Discretion, sensitivity, and an understanding of medical privacy and accuracy are essential in this area.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent Research Skills: Able to use online tools efficiently to locate accurate, relevant, and up-to-date information.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Clear and professional written and verbal communication is a must, especially when interacting with vendors, service providers, or healthcare offices.
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: You should be able to juggle multiple responsibilities and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficient with Online Tools: Familiarity with email platforms, shared calendars (e.g., Google Calendar), online scheduling tools, spreadsheets, and internet search engines.
  • Self-Starter Attitude: Able to work independently, solve problems, and take initiative without needing constant supervision.
  • Phone Skills: Comfortable speaking with various professionals over the phone, making inquiries, and following up on appointments or services.
  • Flexibility: Availability during normal business hours Monday through Friday (exact times can be arranged according to mutual availability).
  • Discretion and Reliability: You will have access to personal and sensitive information; professionalism and confidentiality are key.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a personal assistant, virtual assistant, or administrative support professional
  • Knowledge of common household services and platforms (e.g., Angi, Handy, HomeAdvisor)
  • Background in healthcare, wellness, or caregiving is a bonus, especially for research purposes
  • Located within the United States (for easier coordination with local time zones and service providers)
