Role Overview of Paid Media Strategist:
As a Paid Media Strategist, you’ll be responsible for developing, executing, and optimising multi-channel paid advertising strategies for our clients. You’ll take ownership of campaign planning, budget management, ad creative testing, reporting, and performance analysis. Your insights and strategic input will directly influence client results and help shape the direction of our digital advertising services.
You’ll work closely with clients, account managers, and creative teams to ensure campaigns are not only aligned with client goals but also continuously improved to exceed expectations.
Key Responsibilities of Paid Media Strategist:
- Plan and manage paid media campaigns across platforms including Google Ads (Search, Display, YouTube), Meta (Facebook, Instagram), LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Build comprehensive media strategies tailored to client goals (e.g., lead generation, eCommerce ROAS, awareness).
- Conduct thorough keyword research, audience segmentation, and competitor analysis to guide campaign planning.
- Write engaging ad copy and collaborate with design teams on creative assets that drive performance.
- Monitor campaign performance on a daily/weekly basis, making adjustments to bids, audiences, creatives, and budgets as needed.
- Set up conversion tracking using Google Tag Manager, GA4, Meta Pixel, and other tools as required.
- Analyze and report on key performance metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS, and more.
- Provide clients with regular performance updates and strategic recommendations for growth.
- Stay updated with industry trends, algorithm updates, and new platform features.
- Participate in internal training and knowledge sharing with fellow strategists and junior team members.
What We’re Looking For: Paid Media Strategist
- 2+ years of experience managing paid media campaigns (agency or in-house).
- Proven experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads, and at least one other platform (LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.).
- Solid understanding of performance marketing metrics and how to optimize for them.
- Confident using Google Analytics (especially GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for analysis and reporting.
- Creative mindset with the ability to write high-performing ad copy and ideate on visual assets.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Comfortable presenting campaign results and strategies to clients or internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts with varying budgets and goals.
Desirable (But Not Required) in Paid Media Strategist:
- Google Ads and Meta Blueprint certifications.
- Experience with eCommerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento.
- Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and CRO best practices.
- Familiarity with remarketing strategies and customer journey mapping.
- Experience with automation tools like Zapier, HubSpot, or CRM integrations.
