Role Overview of Paid Media Manager

As a Paid Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing paid media campaigns across various platforms including Google Ads, Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, and more. Your focus will be on driving traffic, leads, and revenue growth for our clients while maintaining strong ROAS and CPA metrics.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including creative, analytics, and client services to ensure our campaigns are aligned with broader marketing goals. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and deep platform expertise.


Key Responsibilities of Paid Media Manager

  • Strategy Development: Design and execute comprehensive paid media strategies tailored to each client’s goals and audience.
  • Campaign Management: Set up, launch, monitor, and optimize campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others.
  • Budget Allocation: Manage monthly ad spend budgets (ranging from £10K–£500K+) effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Performance Optimization: Conduct A/B testing, analyze campaign data, and make real-time adjustments to improve KPIs (CTR, CPA, ROAS, conversions).
  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare detailed campaign reports with insights and actionable recommendations using tools like Google Analytics, Data Studio, and platform dashboards.
  • Client Communication: Participate in client meetings and presentations to explain performance results, strategy shifts, and new opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with creative teams to guide ad copy, design elements, and landing page experiences that align with campaign goals.
  • Market Research: Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activity, and new platform features to keep campaigns cutting-edge.

Required Skills & Qualifications of Paid Media Manager

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in paid media advertising.
  • Proven track record of managing and scaling multi-channel campaigns.
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Ads, Facebook/Meta Ads Manager, and other major ad platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Google Analytics, Looker Studio, or similar.
  • Experience with e-commerce and lead generation campaigns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for campaign analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred (Nice to Have)

  • Google Ads and Meta Blueprint certifications.
  • Experience with programmatic advertising or DSPs.
  • Familiarity with tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or SimilarWeb.
