This position can be based anywhere in the U.S. and is 100% remote/work from home.
The contract is 3 months but it is likely to extend due to the amount of work that is needed.
Key responsibilities:
- Develops short-term Media plan, complete with tactics and specifical earned media strategies that will garner coverage in national and local media outlets and will amplify the organization’s mission among industry experts, philanthropists, donors and consumers.
- Prepares media outreach materials to maximize impact storytelling through earned and paid media. Media outreach materials include key messages, FAQs, news releases, media alerts, Op-Eds, media pitch points and talking points for media interviews.
- Leverages comprehensive understanding of earned and digital media and the prominent role of social media to strategize for effective, relevant implementation, amplification and coverage of AHA Ventures and the Social Impact Funds.
- Secures media coverage through strategic media outreach and pitching of national, local and digital media platforms.
- Provides marketing communications counsel and deploys marketing communications strategy, tactics and resources as needed and identified by internal stakeholders.
- Expertise/experience needed:
Expert in Media/Public Relations; agency or large national corporation
Experience/expertise in the venture capital investment industry and understanding of terminology and fundamentals. Impact investing knowledge or experience would be a plus.
Understanding of the social drivers of health and social impact owuld be helpful.
Prior Experience In Non-profit Organization Would Be a Plus
