We have an international, fully remote team working on creating the best Kubernetes-first, innovative virtualization platform around, and we’d like you to join. We are looking for a front-end developer with the chops to take on a large existing codebase and add features to it, while also helping with modernisation of our existing front-end structure. You will work closely with our designers on one hand and with back-end teams on the other to ensure the web interface into Civo is top-notch intuitive, secure, and accessible. You will be able to get involved across teams, with opportunities to contribute back to open-source projects and participate at industry conferences around the world. You won’t just ship code: you’ll join a supportive team that values your perspective and ideas from day one. Responsibilities: • Translate UI designs into clean, reusable, and cross-browser compatible front-end code • Write maintainable and well-documented HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that translates into accessible pages • Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to ensure a seamless user experience • Stay up-to-date on the latest front-end technologies and best practices • Contribute to the improvement of our development process • Help debug and troubleshoot front-end issues Requirements: • 2+ years of experience as a front-end developer • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+) • Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and web security standards (OWASP) • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills (we are a fully remote company) • Comfortable with working independently and as part of a remote team • A passion for creating user-friendly and visually appealing web experiences Nice to Have: • Experience with Ruby on Rails and MVC frameworks • Experience with other front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Astro Angular, Vue.js) • Experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass, Less) • Familiarity with DevOps principles and modern software deployment practices Why Join Civo: • Competitive compensation and benefits package • 4-day week company (unless attending an event) • Uncapped holiday • Remote work environment with flexibility and autonomy • Collaborative and inclusive culture that values diversity and creativity • Opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative team in the fast-growing cloud industry
