What You’ll Do
As a Freelance UX Designer, your role will involve helping to shape high-impact digital campaigns and experiences that combine user insight with creative excellence. You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams—including creatives, developers, strategists, and project managers—to deliver engaging, accessible, and intuitive experiences for users across platforms.
Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- UX Design & Wireframing:
Create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and user interface designs for websites, landing pages, web applications, and digital marketing campaigns. Your work will directly influence how users interact with products and services online. - User Flow Optimization:
Map and refine user flows to ensure logical, seamless paths through digital properties. You’ll help reduce friction and improve overall engagement, always keeping the end user’s experience top of mind. - AI Integration Opportunities:
Identify moments where AI can enhance usability and interaction—such as predictive search, chatbot interfaces, or dynamic personalization—while aligning with project goals. - Collaborative Design Process:
Work closely with both creative and development teams, ensuring that visual concepts are translated into functional, interactive designs that perform well and look beautiful. - UX Research & Strategy:
Conduct UX research (both qualitative and quantitative) to inform design decisions. Use data, interviews, personas, or usability testing insights to guide your approach and validate solutions. - Accessibility & Standards Compliance:
Ensure your designs meet accessibility and usability standards, following WCAG guidelines and considering diverse user needs across all devices and contexts. - Brand Consistency:
Maintain visual and UX consistency across all designs, ensuring they align with existing brand standards while also pushing creative boundaries where appropriate.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a well-rounded, highly capable UX designer who can not only execute but also contribute meaningfully to project strategy and ideation. You should be just as comfortable sketching out quick concepts as you are presenting polished wireframes to clients or internal stakeholders.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 5+ years of UX Design experience, preferably within a digital or advertising agency setting.
- A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing UX deliverables across websites, web apps, landing pages, and other interactive digital products.
- Expertise in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or other modern design/prototyping platforms.
- A strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of balancing user needs with business objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale and user-centered thinking.
- Demonstrated experience in working remotely and collaborating effectively with distributed creative teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with AI tools or knowledge of how emerging technologies can be integrated into digital UX.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS or a basic understanding of how design translates into front-end development.
- Prior experience designing for accessibility compliance and familiarity with WCAG standards.
- Exposure to analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Hotjar) to inform UX improvements based on user behavior.
