Job Title: Civil Professional Engineer (PE) – Entry to Intermediate Level
Location: Hybrid – Elizabethtown, KY | Lexington, KY | Louisville, KY | Chattanooga, TN
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Professional Engineer (PE) to lead and manage engineering projects. This role is ideal for an entry to intermediate-level professional with a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and quality assurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and reviewing project documents, ensuring regulatory compliance, and analyzing complex engineering projects to determine requirements and constraints. Additionally, this role requires strong leadership skills to oversee design teams and maintain project schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review comprehensive project documents to ensure conformity and quality assurance.
- Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices to maintain compliance.
- Analyze complex engineering projects to identify design requirements, uncertainties, and constraints.
- Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for assigned projects to ensure efficiency.
- Coordinate and manage the design team through the schematic design development and contract document phases of a project.
- Organize and participate in review meetings with governing agencies to ensure code compliance.
- Manage workload effectively to meet project deliverables and deadlines.
- Conduct on-site work sessions in collaboration with the Project Manager and other disciplines.
- Identify and resolve conflicts between project documents and other disciplines to maintain project integrity.
- Write and edit detailed project specifications to align with client and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and lead responses to addenda, requests for information (RFIs), and change orders (COs), ensuring all modifications are incorporated into project documents.
- Provide construction contract administration as necessary to ensure project success.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews on work completed by engineers, project coordinators, designers, or BIM technicians.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience in site development and land development projects.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Solid civil engineering expertise with a proven track record of successful project execution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license OR Civil EIT with at least 5 years of experience.
- Background in industrial construction, power generation, oil & gas, mining, aggregate, or other large-scale projects.
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing employees to work both on-site and remotely after the first few months. The role can be based in Elizabethtown, KY; Lexington, KY; Louisville, KY; or Chattanooga, TN.

- Hourly Pay: $41.00 – $58.00 per hour

Workplace Type:
