As an Executive Social Media Manager at Barclays in London, UK, you will join the Investment Bank’s Marketing team, driving deepened engagement with institutional (B2B) clients globally. What will you be doing as an Executive Social Media Manager at Barclays London, UK?
- Providing guidance, support, and guardrails for executives regarding social media practices
- Creating and maintaining forward-facing editorial calendars for the executive social media program, with coherent content pillars for each participating executive
- Managing execution and timing of the content calendar, aligning with key moments and priorities, and identifying engagement opportunities with third-party content
- Meeting with the offices of each executive to develop content, coordinate logistics on local content capture, and arrange timely reviews and approvals
- Developing an authentic voice and presence for each executive, aligning with their tone and persona, and identifying opportunities for cross-promotion
- Monitoring social activity on executive accounts to detect and flag brand safety issues in a timely manner, and advising on the appropriate response
- Ensuring all social content meets regulatory and compliance requirements, including Series 24 approval, record retention, and monitoring
- Utilizing data and analytics to deliver regular reporting on social KPIs, conveying trends, and optimization techniques for building an executive presence
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience with daily management of social media platforms and Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop), familiarity with Sprinklr and Hearsay
- Experience in executive communications within an investment banking or financial services setting
- High proficiency with LinkedIn social media platform functionalities, with a track record of successfully delivering B2B financial services social media
- Proven editorial curation skills to develop and maintain regular content programming for executives, and experience in repackaging technical content to appeal to broader audiences
