Job Overview:
The Email Marketing and Automation Specialist plays a pivotal role in the marketing team, primarily responsible for utilizing Salesforce tools to craft, manage, and optimize email marketing campaigns. Key Responsibilities:
As an Email Marketing and Automation Specialist, you will be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities, all aimed at improving email marketing outcomes.
- Campaign Design & Execution: You will design, execute, and optimize email marketing campaigns using Salesforce tools, including Salesforce Account Engagement, Lighting App, and Marketing Cloud. This involves developing targeted email workflows, lead nurturing campaigns, and automated drip marketing strategies aimed at keeping potential customers engaged and driving them through the sales funnel.
- Content Development: You will create compelling, engaging, and brand-aligned content for email campaigns. The content must be tailored to different audience segments to maximize engagement and conversions while aligning with the overarching brand voice and marketing objectives. This requires a keen understanding of audience preferences and behavior.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Analyzing the performance of email campaigns is crucial. You will assess key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, using these insights to implement data-driven improvements for future campaigns. Your analytical approach will guide decisions that improve the overall effectiveness of email marketing efforts.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with content, design, and sales teams is critical to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging across all email marketing campaigns. You will ensure that email communications align with other marketing initiatives and reinforce brand consistency.
- A/B Testing: You will conduct A/B tests on various aspects of email campaigns, including subject lines, content, and calls to action. The goal is to maximize the effectiveness of campaigns by continuously improving different elements of each email.
- Contact List Management: In this role, you’ll manage and maintain segmented contact lists in Salesforce to ensure that the right audience receives targeted email communications. This involves ensuring the accuracy of data, as well as adhering to compliance regulations such as GDPR and CAN-SPAM.
- Reporting & Recommendations: You will generate reports detailing the performance of email marketing campaigns, providing insights, and offering actionable recommendations for optimization. Regular updates on the campaign’s success will be shared with key stakeholders.
- Trend Monitoring: Staying up-to-date with email marketing trends, tools, and best practices is essential. This helps ensure that email strategies are innovative and aligned with current market expectations.
- Cross-Channel Integration: To maximize the impact of email marketing, you will integrate email campaigns with other digital marketing channels such as social media and the website. This integrated approach will support a more cohesive and effective overall marketing strategy.

- Email Deliverability & Compliance: Ensure high deliverability rates by following best practices in email marketing. You will manage sender reputation and implement measures to comply with anti-spam regulations to avoid email blacklisting and improve deliverability.
- Integration with Salesforce CRM: You will manage the integration of email campaigns with Salesforce CRM and other platforms to ensure alignment between email marketing efforts and broader sales and marketing goals.
- Campaign Calendar Management: Another important aspect is managing the email marketing calendar to ensure campaigns are executed on time and align with the broader marketing strategy.
- Personalization & Dynamic Content: Implement advanced personalization techniques to ensure that each email is relevant to its recipient. Dynamic content blocks will be used to enhance engagement, making each email more tailored to the audience’s preferences and behaviors.
- Lead Nurturing & Scoring: You will collaborate with the sales team to create lead scoring models and develop nurturing campaigns designed to move leads through the marketing funnel efficiently.

Experience:
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related field, with 3 to 5 years of professional experience in email marketing or a related industry. Experience in the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) industry is a plus.
