What We’re Looking For:
To be suitable for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of four years of postgraduate experience, including at least two years in Dermatology (General Adult and Paediatric Dermatology).
- Proficiency in Minor Surgery.
- A diploma in Dermatology (desirable).
We work closely with the Trust’s Plastic Surgery Team and participate in MDTs with Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, ensuring collaboration and excellence in patient care.

Role Overview:
The role involves sessional commitments of 10 PAs (8.5 DCC and 1.5 SPA). Any adjustments to the job plan will be agreed upon with the Clinical Lead to benefit both clinical service delivery and the Clinical Business Unit.
You will join a friendly and supportive team comprising:
- 5 Consultants
- 2 Speciality Doctors
- 2 Dermatology Nurse Specialists
- 2 Skin Cancer Nurse Specialists
- 2 GpwERs
This team is supported by skilled medical secretaries and administrative staff. Together, we deliver comprehensive Dermatology services, including inpatient and outpatient care, referrals, and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide urgent inpatient referral cover and respond to GP queries during working hours (no formal out-of-hours cover required).
- Deliver clinics in allocated outpatient areas with facilities for UVB therapy, patch testing, and minor surgery, supported by outpatient nursing staff.
- Share care of inpatients with medical teams.
- Train and provide governance to nurses and junior medical staff.
- Support local GPwER, GPs in training, and students from regional hospitals.
- Actively participate in clinical audits, professional development, and research.
- Contribute to Clinical Governance processes, including monthly half-day sessions.
