About Digital Development Manager
As a Digital Development Manager, you will oversee the technical execution and strategic alignment of Novanta’s digital platforms. You will play a pivotal role in managing web development projects, implementing new features, optimizing current digital systems, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, IT, product, and operations. Your contributions will directly support Novanta’s digital strategy and customer experience objectives.
You will be responsible for both the big-picture direction and the intricate details of our digital ecosystems. You should be equally comfortable writing code, managing a team, setting project goals, and presenting updates to stakeholders. Success in this role means creating scalable, secure, and engaging digital experiences that meet the evolving needs of our customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities of Digital Development Manager
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of Novanta’s global websites, e-commerce platforms, and digital portals.
- Translate business goals into robust digital strategies and technical requirements.
- Manage internal and external development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, timelines, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to implement user-centric digital enhancements.
- Oversee system integrations across CRM, ERP, and marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, SAP).
- Implement data analytics tools and SEO best practices to optimize site performance and user engagement.
- Stay current with emerging web technologies, frameworks, and digital trends to ensure innovation and competitiveness.
- Develop technical documentation, standards, and guidelines to support long-term digital sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and accessibility standards.
Required Qualifications in Digital Development Manager
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in digital development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in front-end and back-end development using technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, .NET, or similar frameworks.
- Experience managing CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Sitecore, Adobe Experience Manager).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and DevOps environments (AWS, Azure, Docker, Jenkins).
- Strong project management skills, including Agile/Scrum methodology.
