The Role

What you’ll be doing

Delivery Manager role will start with a 6-month embedded project with one of our clients. As an experienced Delivery Manager at Public Digital in Farringdon, Exeter, UK, you will:

  • Lead and implement changes to achieve our client’s vision and delivery plan.
  • Build and maintain a motivated, skilled multidisciplinary team.
  • Be accountable for delivering products and services in the client’s transformation plan.
  • Set up an agile environment for designing, building, and iterating user-centered services.
  • Facilitate team work and lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process.
  • Support the Service Designer, Product Manager, and User Researcher in prioritizing and delivering the roadmap.
  • Develop iterative working methods, planning delivery in an agile, service-led way.
  • Act as a servant leader, identifying and resolving challenges or blockers.
  • Manage dependencies to get the best value within constraints.
  • Manage risks, budgets, and people within the delivery team to ensure value for money.
  • Support the Product Manager and team in breaking down problems into smaller units and user stories for delivery.

How you’ll do it

As a Delivery Manager, you will embed service delivery cultures, methodologies, and best practices into the client team. You will:

  • Coach the team and organization to shift mindsets and ways of working for continuous improvement.
  • Develop open, collaborative multidisciplinary ways of working.
  • Get to know the client to apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques.
  • Foster a collaborative, communicative working culture focused on what’s most important.
  • Share your expertise confidently, setting direction and providing support across all levels of the organization, including senior decision-makers.
