Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Data Analytics to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in data analytics, exceptional business acumen, and a passion for driving data-informed decisions. This role involves managing a small team of Data Analysts and reporting directly to the Director of Data & Analytics.
As part of the Data & Analytics team, you’ll collaborate with data engineers and analytics engineers to build effective platforms and tools that uncover opportunities and enable smarter decision-making. You’ll work closely with Product, Support, Ad Operations, and other teams to analyze behavior, develop predictive models, and create solutions that enhance internal and external experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Develop and maintain analytics frameworks to deliver actionable insights.
- Collaborate with teams across revenue, finance, marketing, product, and engineering to prioritize data initiatives.
- Present findings to stakeholders, translating complex data into clear recommendations.
- Stay updated on advancements in data science, machine learning, and the AdTech industry.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and uphold data integrity and security.
- Partner with data engineering leadership to establish accurate and actionable data foundations.
- Work with project and product management to define measurable KPIs.
- Travel approximately 15% of the time for team retreats, leadership meetings, and company events.
Qualifications
Location: Applicants must reside in the United States.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in analytics or a related role.
- 3+ years of proven experience managing a team of data analysts in a remote environment.
- Expertise in machine learning, modeling, algorithms, and knowledge extraction (preferred).
- Familiarity with MLOps tools such as Azure ML, ADF, Databricks, Google Cloud, or AWS (preferred).
- Proficiency in building advanced data pipelines.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Domo, Tableau) and reporting platforms.
- Proficiency in SQL and database programming.
- Programming experience in Python and/or R.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to influence strategic decisions through data-driven insights.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA (preferred).
- Knowledge of the AdTech industry (preferred).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with machine learning, modeling, and MLOps using Azure ML, Databricks, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of advanced data pipelines and the AdTech industry.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Compensation
Mediavine offers a competitive total compensation and benefits package. The base salary range for this role is $155,000–$170,000 USD/year, with individual compensation varying based on experience, qualifications, and business needs.
