Key Responsibilities of Credit Controller
Credit Control & Debt Management
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
- Proactively contact customers via phone, email, and other channels to follow up on unpaid invoices.
- Develop and implement effective debt recovery strategies to minimize bad debts.
- Identify and resolve disputes related to invoices and payments.
NetSuite & Salesforce Management
- Use NetSuite to track payments, generate reports, and manage customer accounts.
- Update Salesforce records to reflect accurate client financial status.
- Work with the finance team to ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts.
Reporting & Analysis
- Generate and analyze aged debt reports to assess outstanding balances.
- Prepare monthly reports on credit control performance and customer payment trends.
- Provide recommendations for improving cash flow and reducing overdue accounts.
Customer Relations & Communication
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to facilitate smooth payment processes.
- Educate customers on company payment policies and terms.
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies and financial regulations.
- Identify opportunities to improve credit control procedures and automate processes.
Key Skills & Experience Required in Credit Controller
- Experience: Minimum two years in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is essential
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret financial data and identify risk factors
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle disputes and negotiate payment solutions professionally
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in managing financial records and processing transactions
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines
