About the Role
We’re on the hunt for a Senior Graphic Designer & Illustrator to elevate Cheeky’s visual identity and keep it consistent across packaging, digital campaigns, and beyond. You’ll play a critical role in shaping how people perceive and engage with our brand—whether it’s in their bathroom or on their favorite Twitch stream.
This is a senior-level creative role, ideal for someone who’s highly skilled in both graphic design and custom illustration, and thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments. The ideal candidate has an exceptional eye for detail, strong storytelling instincts, and a love of design that’s as strategic as it is beautiful.
You’ll be reporting directly to our Brand Director and collaborating closely with marketing, supply chain, and product teams.
What You’ll Work On
📦 Product Packaging (Primary Focus)
You’ll create custom illustrations and packaging designs across three core product types:
- Core Line (Duotone Art): Our signature soap bars use vibrant duotone illustrations with bold, minimal aesthetics.
- Co-Branded Collabs (Full Color): You’ll develop character and scene illustrations for exclusive products in collaboration with major YouTube and Twitch creators.
- Licensed Products (Background Art): You’ll design immersive illustrated backgrounds for soaps themed around major gaming and anime franchises.
📣 Marketing Materials
- Social Media Assets: Design engaging, scroll-stopping visuals for Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter/X to promote launches, memes, and brand moments.
- Email Design: Turn messaging from the marketing team into visually compelling, well-structured emails that drive clicks and conversions.
Responsibilities
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, supply chain, and production teams to ensure designs are aligned with brand guidelines, timelines, and product feasibility.
- Feedback Management: Incorporate internal and external feedback with agility while maintaining design integrity and quality.
- Project Management: Own and manage your creative pipeline, meeting deadlines and juggling multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
- Brand Consistency: Evolve and maintain Cheeky’s visual identity across all touchpoints—ensuring a cohesive, recognizable look across packaging, social, and email.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in graphic design and/or illustration
- Strong portfolio showcasing custom illustration, branding, packaging, and marketing materials
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), and illustration tools such as Procreate
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, typography, and color
- Experience managing multiple projects independently and on tight timelines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Bonus Points
- Experience working in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) or beauty/skincare industries
- Familiarity with motion graphics or basic animation for digital content
- Understanding of web/email design best practices (HTML knowledge not required)
- Experience working with influencers or content creators
