About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Content Marketing Lead to build and scale our content strategy. This person will lead the development of brand narratives, manage a growing content and social media team, and execute innovative strategies to engage the creator economy.
You’ll be responsible for telling compelling stories, crafting brand-aligned campaigns, and building demand through organic content and community engagement. You will report directly to Karat’s Co-Founder and work closely with senior leadership, product, creative, and growth teams to define and execute our marketing voice across all channels.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and Execute Content Strategy
- Design and implement a full-funnel content marketing strategy that enhances awareness, drives user acquisition, and increases retention.
- Produce compelling short-form content across platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and more.
- Write and edit brand-aligned scripts and copy for videos, blog posts, newsletters, and case studies.
- Build systems to track, analyze, and iterate on content performance based on audience behavior and engagement metrics.
2. Build and Lead a World-Class Team
- Lead a team of writers, social media managers, and creatives to deliver high-impact campaigns.
- Hire and develop high-performing marketing talent.
- Encourage a collaborative, curious, and feedback-driven team culture.
- Coordinate with external agencies and freelance contributors when needed.
3. Drive Cross-Channel Brand Growth
- Lead brand narrative development and ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints.
- Collaborate with the Growth, Product, and Sales teams to align messaging and unlock new demand generation strategies.
- Use community insights to shape content that resonates deeply with creator audiences.
- Coordinate closely with the Events and Product Marketing teams to execute go-to-market strategies for new offerings.
4. Represent the Brand
- Be a visible and authentic voice for Karat, possibly including on-camera work and event participation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the creator economy and financial tech.
- Collaborate with founders on high-visibility campaigns and strategic brand decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in content, brand, or influencer marketing in a B2C or startup environment.
- 2+ years of experience managing teams and developing content professionals.
- Proven expertise in organic growth strategies, content operations, and campaign development.
- Strong creative writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone and language to a variety of audiences and channels.
- Familiarity with social media trends, analytics tools, and content creation best practices.
- Deep knowledge of content distribution tactics, including SEO, newsletters, video syndication, and influencer collaboration.
- Experience creating content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other digital platforms.
- Background in event planning or experience working on event-led content campaigns is a plus.
