Key Responsibilities of Assistant Manager Accounting
Foreign Exchange (FX) Accounting and Management
- Monitor and analyze FX exposures across different business units.
- Execute and record FX transactions in compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and review FX revaluation entries and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with treasury teams to optimize FX strategies and minimize currency risks.
- Maintain documentation and records related to FX transactions and contracts.
Hedging and Risk Management of Assistant Manager Accounting
- Develop and implement hedging strategies to mitigate FX risk exposure.
- Conduct regular assessments of hedge effectiveness and prepare hedge documentation.
- Ensure compliance with hedge accounting regulations (e.g., ASC 815, IFRS 9).
- Work closely with financial planning teams to integrate hedging activities into corporate strategy.
- Provide guidance on hedge accounting treatment and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Financial Reporting and Compliance of Assistant Manager Accounting
- Prepare and review FX-related financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant financial reporting standards.

Qualifications & Skills in Assistant Manager Accounting
Education & Experience in Assistant Manager Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on FX and hedging.
- Strong knowledge of hedge accounting principles, FX instruments, and risk management.
- Experience working in multinational corporations or financial institutions is a plus.
Technical Skills in Assistant Manager Accounting
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and financial reporting tools.
