Key Responsibilities of Adult Social Care Assessor
- Conduct remote assessments for learners working towards Adult Social Care qualifications at various levels.
- Provide support and guidance to learners through online platforms, phone calls, and video conferencing.
- Assess portfolios of evidence, ensuring they meet the required qualification and regulatory standards.
- Deliver high-quality feedback and support learners in developing their skills and knowledge.
- Work in alignment with regulatory requirements, including those set by awarding bodies and national frameworks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of learner progress.
- Offer advice and support to learners, helping them overcome any challenges in their learning journey.
- Ensure a high standard of quality assurance in all assessments and comply with internal and external verification procedures.
- Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and regulatory changes in adult social care.
Required Skills & Experience of Adult Social Care Assessor
- Qualified Assessor (D32/D33, A1, CAVA, or equivalent).
- Previous experience working as an Assessor in Adult Social Care or a related field.
- In-depth understanding of health and social care qualifications and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of current regulations and best practices in social care.
- Experience supporting and mentoring learners through assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible workload remotely.
- IT proficiency, including experience with online learning platforms and digital assessment tools.
Desirable Qualifications of Adult Social Care Assessor
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, DTLLS, or equivalent).
