Responsible for the Catering, Front of house management and delivery of services in line with contractual obligations and company expectations always ensuring the delivery of excellent customer care. To lead, inspire, mentor and coach a group of operational teams; some directly reporting to the role, others with a shared line management structure. The aim is to ensure Compass provides a first class, professional service to our clients.

The role holder will take personal ownership and responsibility for the standards of service delivered at the clients site and ensures excellent reporting and account management disciplines are always maintained. Strategic planning and preparation in conjunction with the Compass Leadership Team underpins the direction and objectives of the department.

Building outstanding client relationships, account retention and growth are key responsibilities. The objective of this role is to elevate, enhance and enrich the unique services offered within the contract. An aptitude for understanding multi-subject skills are essential.

  • Responsible for all client and company Health & Safety policies and procedures always. This includes but is not limited to Food Handling, Allergens, COSHH, Uniform Standards, Personal Protective Equipment, Manual Handling, Fire Regulations and quality control.
  • Actively support audits (HSE, Performance etc.)
  • Complete, maintain and update all Food Safety, Health & Safety and Environment paperwork correctly on a continual basis to ensure full compliance.
  • Responsible for the client floors operation (front of house & catering) across the country.
  • Responsible for the catering events delivery across the UK
  • Responsible for the catering standards and booking processes across the UK
  • Responsible for the food production (where applicable) and service to the brand standards for all the UK offices
  • Responsible for the culinary team and kitchens (where applicable) across all the UK offices.
  • To demonstrate a can‐do attitude towards individual customer or client requests and strive to exceed customer expectations, always modelling Compass Way values and behaviours to colleagues, customers and clients.
  • Source catering offer for regional offices, and support with the delivery by creating the SOP
  • Implement best practice taken from across the industry including presentation of quarterly innovations influenced by regular networking across the industry including ESG initiatives.
  • Manage and drive the completion of all compulsory training with all team members.
  • A good communicator with the ability to liaise confidently with customers and clients and engage, motivate and develop team members.
  • An enthusiastic individual with a passion for excellent service delivery and customer service skills
  • Highly competent in the English language, both written and verbal
  • Food hygiene/level 3
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude
  • Proven experience in managing successful teams within a similar environment
  • IT literate
