About Principal Full Stack Engineer:
We’re looking for a highly skilled and forward-thinking Principal Full Stack Engineer to join our world-class engineering team. This is a fully remote role available to candidates located in the United Kingdom, offering a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies while solving complex business problems that impact users globally.
As a Principal Engineer, you will act as a technical leader, hands-on contributor, and mentor to other engineers, driving architectural decisions and delivering end-to-end solutions across the tech stack. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, DevOps, and fellow engineers to build scalable, secure, and high-performing web applications.
If you’re passionate about clean code, system architecture, mentorship, and delivering impact at scale, we’d love to meet you.
Who You Are: Principal Full Stack Engineer
You are not just a coder. You are a visionary problem solver, a team player, and a strategic thinker. You have extensive experience in full stack development, a deep understanding of modern software practices, and a strong sense of ownership. You thrive in agile environments and are comfortable making architectural decisions, proposing scalable solutions, and mentoring mid-level and senior engineers.
You also love staying up to date with emerging trends in development, infrastructure, and DevOps, and you have the communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
- Take full technical ownership of major product features and platform components.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable full stack applications with high availability and security in mind.
- Work with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Next.js) and backend technologies (e.g., Python, Go, or similar).
- Architect and develop APIs, services, and microservices with REST and/or GraphQL.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines and ensure DevOps best practices are followed.
- Lead code reviews, mentor team members, and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and improve UX/UI.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and scalability issues.
- Champion test-driven development (TDD), code quality, and maintainable codebases.
- Stay current with industry trends and contribute to technology roadmaps.
Our Stack:
We are tech-agnostic and choose the best tools for the job, but here are some of the technologies we currently use:

What We’re Looking For Principal Full Stack Engineer:
- 8+ years of full stack engineering experience, including time in senior or principal roles.
- Proven track record of designing and building production-grade systems and architectures.
- Strong expertise in modern JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Node.js).
- Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and infrastructure as code.
- Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with security best practices, performance optimization, and scalability.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.
- Experience working in agile, remote-first, or distributed team environments.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
