Sales Manager
We are seeking an ambitious and knowledgeable Sales Manager to take charge of our UK industrial electronics sales operations. The ideal candidate will be an expert in B2B technical sales and will have a deep understanding of industrial automation, control systems, and the requirements of engineering buyers.
In this role, you will work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to promote and sell our technical products and solutions. You will manage key client accounts, develop new customer relationships, and ensure profitable growth across the region.
This role is home-based with frequent travel to customer sites, trade shows, and head office meetings. You’ll be a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical expertise and commercial insight, helping them find the right solutions for their operational needs.
Key Responsibilities of Sales Manager
- Develop and execute the national sales strategy to drive revenue growth in industrial electronics.
- Manage and expand existing client relationships while actively pursuing new business opportunities.
- Present and demonstrate products to engineers, procurement managers, and technical stakeholders.
- Provide technical and commercial support during the sales process, including product selection, quotations, and solution design.
- Attend industry trade shows, exhibitions, and customer visits to generate leads and build brand awareness.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and customer data.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, marketing, product development) to tailor solutions to customer requirements.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly sales performance reports to senior management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.

You possess strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate complex technical products into valuable customer benefits. You’re an excellent communicator, able to establish trust with customers and influence purchasing decisions. You enjoy working autonomously, but you’re also a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Requirements of Sales Manager
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a technical sales role within industrial electronics, automation, control systems, or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of products such as PLCs, HMIs, sensors, industrial networking, relays, or drives.
- Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Ability to read and understand technical schematics and control diagrams.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in using CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce or HubSpot) and Microsoft Office.
- Valid UK driving license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK.
Desirable Attributes
- Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or similar.
- Background in OEMs, system integrators, industrial distribution, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to manage complex sales cycles and long-term strategic accounts.
- Understanding of the sales process in regulated or safety-critical industries.
