Key Responsibilities of .NET Support Engineer:

1. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide expert-level support for .NET applications, resolving software and system issues efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to ASP.NET, C#, .NET Core, and related technologies.
  • Work closely with developers and IT teams to implement fixes and improvements.
  • Monitor and maintain application performance, ensuring minimal downtime.

2. Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Deliver training sessions and workshops on .NET development best practices to clients and internal teams.
  • Create training materials, documentation, and tutorials for technical and non-technical users.
  • Stay updated with the latest .NET frameworks and tools and ensure the team is trained accordingly.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees and provide mentorship and guidance.

3. System Development & Enhancements

  • Assist in designing and developing enhancements for existing .NET applications.
  • Collaborate with developers to implement software updates and new features.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code when necessary.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

4. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of support requests, resolutions, and recurring issues.
  • Prepare reports on system performance, training effectiveness, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and update technical documentation, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.

Required Skills & Qualifications of .NET Support Engineer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a .NET Developer, Support Engineer, or Trainer.
  • Strong expertise in .NET Core, ASP.NET, C#, MVC, Web API, and SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of Azure, DevOps, and cloud-based .NET solutions is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train and explain technical concepts.
  • Experience in creating training materials and conducting workshops.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment.
