Responsibilities

  • The Senior College/Division Officer will lead and manage the college’s Human Capital Management (HCM) compliance, recruitment, hiring, retention, and employee development efforts
  • This role is key to implementing several new initiatives, including an Onboarding/Orientation Program, Employee Recognition Program, a robust Training & Development Program (including Supervisory Training), and a Student Success Academy Leadership Program
  • Process Improvement & Operational Excellence:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance HR processes and procedures
  • Lead change management initiatives
  • Department Management & Supervision:
  • Set department goals aligned with strategic objectives
  • Lead, supervise, and train staff while overseeing the unit budget
  • Staff Hiring, Employment & Retention:
  • Partner with central HR and managers on recruitment and onboarding
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Assist in position creation and reclassification
  • Lead organizational development initiatives and staff performance management
  • Records Management & Reporting:
  • Oversee personnel budget and position management
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate personnel records
  • Provide HR reporting and analysis to support decision-making
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee improvement and performance management
  • Provide counseling and guidance to employees and supervisors to ensure compliance with policies
  • Act as a liaison between the division and University HR
  • Serve on committees as needed
  • Other Duties as Assigned:

Job Overview:
