About the Role of Video Editor/Motion Designer
The Video Editor/Motion Designer will be responsible for creating high-quality video content and animations that support Amazon seller events, internal town halls, and marketing initiatives. This role requires expertise in video editing, motion graphics, and storytelling to produce compelling content that aligns with Amazon’s branding and messaging.
As a key team member, you will work closely with Creative Producers, Marketing Managers, Program Managers, and other stakeholders to deliver visually engaging assets that drive engagement and conversions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Adobe Creative Suite, motion graphics, and post-production tools and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities of Video Editor/Motion Designer
- Develop, edit, and produce video content and motion graphics for large-scale seller events, internal communications, and marketing campaigns.
- Work collaboratively with Creative Producers, Event Producers, and Program Managers to create high-quality visuals that align with Amazon’s branding.
- Craft promotional videos, highlight reels, and engaging animations for virtual, physical, and hybrid events.
- Ensure seamless integration of video, animation, and text-based content to enhance the attendee experience.
- Optimize video content for multiple platforms, including social media, email marketing, websites, and live events.
- Analyze and incorporate feedback from senior leadership, marketing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Implement best practices in video editing, motion design, and storytelling to drive engagement and improve communication effectiveness.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring quality control across all deliverables.
Qualifications & Requirements of a Video Editor/Motion Designer
- 3+ years of experience in video editing and motion design within marketing, product, television/film, events, or an agency environment.
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end project delivery and communicate results effectively to senior leadership.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other post-production tools.
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to create compelling narratives through video and animation.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, event production, and content management teams.
- Experience working with legal, corporate communications, and PR partners to ensure compliance and brand alignment.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of video marketing trends, audience engagement strategies, and emerging technologies.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining attention to detail and creative excellence.
Preferred Qualifications in a Video Editor/Motion Designer
- Experience working on high-profile corporate events and internal communication projects.
- Background in live event production, broadcast, or social media video marketing.
- Understanding of color grading, sound design, and advanced animation techniques.
- Familiarity with Amazon’s brand guidelines and visual storytelling principles.
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements in video performance and audience engagement.
