This remote position offers a competitive salary ranging from $105,000 to $130,000 per year based on experience, with additional benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Position Overview of Sales Manager:

The Market Sales Manager will be tasked with driving revenue and profitability within the assigned territory. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and sustaining a business strategy for major accounts, designed to increase market share and protect the company's existing customer base. You will also monitor market dynamics, maintain a pipeline of opportunities, and ensure the successful coordination of technical services to customers. This position involves extensive collaboration with logistics, manufacturing, pricing teams, and more, as well as building strong customer relationships that foster long-term loyalty.

    • Promote and educate customers on the use of products, ensuring that they receive the best possible solutions.
  3. Customer Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the industry.
    • Actively engage with customers to identify their needs and offer solutions, making use of the company’s full product portfolio.
  4. Market Intelligence:
    • Conduct thorough research on market volumes, customer cycles, and competitor activities to create a realistic pipeline of potential opportunities.
    • Use market intelligence to propose value-added propositions and ensure the company stays ahead of industry trends.
  5. Coordinate Technical Services:
    • Collaborate with the Technical Service Engineer or Specialist to ensure that customer technical issues are addressed efficiently and effectively.
    • Ensure that all product-related concerns are resolved promptly, maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
  6. Forecasting and Reporting:
    • Provide accurate sales forecasts and track the progress of key opportunities in the sales pipeline.
    • Use data-driven insights to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for improvement.
  7. Collaborate Across Teams:
    • Work with internal teams (marketing, logistics, manufacturing, and pricing) to ensure smooth operations and effective problem resolution.
    • Share customer feedback and product development opportunities with the relevant departments to drive continuous improvement.
  8. Market Development:
    • Research customer business practices and competitive landscapes to develop targeted market strategies.
    • Participate actively in trade associations and represent Summit Materials at industry events.
  9. Other Responsibilities:
    • Conduct customer surveys to gauge overall satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
    • Handle customer volume abnormalities and propose resolutions to ensure continued business success.
    • Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

Required Qualifications of Sales Manager:

  • Education:
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant work experience may also be considered.
  • Experience:
    • 5-7 years of experience in sales, marketing, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with cement and concrete products.
    • A proven track record of successfully managing sales opportunities through all stages of the selling process.
  • Key Skills:
    • Strong customer relationship management skills, with the ability to engage key decision-makers and influencers.
    • Experience in tracking and managing major sales opportunities, ensuring consistent progress and timely resolutions.
    • Ability to handle complex sales cycles and offer innovative solutions to customer needs.
    • Solid understanding of the competitive landscape and market dynamics.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Proficient in using sales tools and CRM systems to manage leads, opportunities, and customer data.
    • Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend relevant meetings.
