We are currently looking for passionate and qualified Online English teachers to join our global team for a fully remote, online teaching role. This position offers a unique opportunity to teach the British Council’s flagship 100% online learning product, English Online, which is designed for adult learners around the world who are committed to improving their English skills.

Essential Skills and Qualifications of Online English Teacher
To be considered for Online English Teacher , candidates must meet the following essential criteria:
- Cambridge CELTA or Trinity Cert TESOL: A recognized English language teaching qualification is required.
- Full Mastery of English: You should have a command of English equivalent to C2 level (IELTS Band 8).
- Experience in Teaching General English to Adults: At least 400 hours or 2+ years of experience teaching general English to adults.
- Experience in Teaching Online: A minimum of 400 hours or 2+ years of online teaching experience, whether in group or private classes.
- Experience Teaching Business English and High-Stakes Test Preparation: A background in teaching Business English or preparing students for major English language exams is desirable.
- Right to Work: You must be legally entitled to work and reside in one of the eligible countries (UK, Canada, India, or the specified states in the USA).
Desirable Qualifications of Online English Teacher
While not mandatory, the following qualifications and experience are highly valued:
- Cambridge DELTA or Trinity DipTESOL: Advanced teaching qualifications.
- Experience Teaching Multi-lingual Groups: If you have experience working with students from diverse linguistic backgrounds, this will be an asset.
