Job Purpose:
Data drives our decision making and as such this is a critical growth role to assist in the data analysis behind those decisions and shape the future of the business.
You will work alongside the operational, commercial and finance teams to provide timely, accurate and useful insight to shape the decisions of the business with a focus on the financial, operational and customer data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring that decisions are made on robust data by verifying the completeness and accuracy of data within the business and working with relevant stakeholders where improvements are required. Data will be both financial and operational in nature.
- Working closely with the operational, commercial and finance teams to enhance and grow the MI reporting suite currently produced.
- Own the database structure currently being developed, building and maintaining views which for the backbone of our reporting
- Supporting the operational, commercial and finance teams in ad-hoc data modelling requirements from the business and spot opportunities to provide useful insight.
- Using historical data, work with the operational, commercial and finance teams to generate and maintain annual and Monthly forecasts.
- Assisting the operational, commercial and finance teams in using data within the business to spot trends and drive improvements in efficiency and profitability throughout the business.
- Maintain and enhance the current Power Bi reporting for each department.
- Build an understanding of our newly created database with a view to taking ownership and utilise for reporting across the business.
- Assisting in any other requirements from the business in line with your role.

- Experience working in a high data environment and of using relevant software to produce meaningful model inputs – experience working with varied data sets from varying sources is a bonus.
- Experience in turning data into insight and gleaning meaning from trends and presenting in relevant formats.
- Working with data, an eye for detail is essential along with working to high standards of competence with a zero defect approach at all times.
- Due to the nature of the role, you will have a highly analytical mindset with the ability to break down the data available and manipulate into insightful and ordered data sets using suitable tools, primarily SQL.
- A high rate of growth brings challenges and you must be adaptable and embrace change as we evolve to meet increasingly complex requirements.
- Experience using Data Visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI, SAS etc)
- Strong in SQL
